I began working with Heather 4 months ago. I consulted her to help with my Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Although I had been taking synthetic thyroid hormone for 3 years, I never got my energy back. I still felt very lethargic and had to pace my activities carefully so I wouldn't wear out. For several weeks the herbs that Heather had prescribed for me made my body feel heavy, as if I was wearing a heavy coat. After two months of taking the herbs and having acupuncture very other week, the herbs no longer affected me that way. I stared feeling lighter. I also found that I had more energy and could start pushing myself more in my daily activities and yoga classes. Heather was able to do what allopathic medicine could not; bring my energy back. I came to Heather to
continue treatment for a past work injury to my shoulder. The injury left me with a partially
dislocated shoulder, a loss of strength through a full range of motion, deeply
“clenched” muscles, and a fear of re-injury.
I had a clear reference point for how my body moved and the level of
strength I had because of the consistent practice of the Tai Chi form before
and after the event.
Her approach was more of a
whole body treatment rather than site specific as I would of thought was
needed. Through needling, cupping and
the most mindful, loving touch I have experienced, I have experienced the

with her has allowed me to remember that I am a "human body” and her touch

iron. Although she no longer practices
massage therapy, I would gratefully pay 1.75x the current rate for a session. This has been a worth while investment to
caring for my own health as my Ayurvedic practitioner has noticed symptom
decreases through their viewpoint.
